The LKDSB is retaining a Hazardous Material Abatement Contractor that will safely perform any required abatement on an as required basis including but not limited to:
Routine maintenance
Small projects
Emergency response requests.
The Work will include but not be limited to:
Asbestos Abatement
Type 1, 2 and 3 operations.
Disposal of small quantities of asbestos products (i.e. floor tiles, transite chairs & stools, coated sinks, etc.)
Lead Abatement and Disposal
Other Designated Substances (i.e. mercury, silica, arsenic, etc.)
Mould Abatement
Flood and Water Damage Mitigation
Biohazard Cleanup Services including, but not limited to:
bodily fluids
sharps materials and contaminated materials, etc.
Rodent, Bird and Bat droppings, etc.
PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyl) Removal and Disposal
Other environmental and hazardous materials services, as may be required.
Conditions for Participation:
In accordance with the Buy Ontario Act (Public Sector Procurement), 2025, this RFQ is open to Suppliers the respondent must have a publicly known business presence in Ontario and be deemed a Canadian company as defined by the Buy Ontario Act (Public Sector Procurement), 2025.
The Respondent must be qualified and maintain their qualification status in accordance with the LKDSB Contractor Qualification and Onboarding Program, effective July 8, 2024. Respondents who are not currently qualified under the existing LKDSB program, or whose qualification has expired, will be provided with a link to the Contractor Qualification requirements after the Registration Period ends. These Respondents must complete and submit their Contractor Qualification application before the bid closing date. Following submission of the Contractor Qualification the LKDSB will review the application to determine if the Respondent’s qualification
