* ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS ONLY* The LKDSB will be participating in Wave 2 of the Ontario Ministry of Education Broadband Modernization Program. Under the program, school boards will connect schools directly to the internet using a Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD WAN) architecture, as opposed to the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) architecture currently employed. Five (5) LKDSB sites qualify for funding under the program: · Chatham Regional Education Centre (CREC) - 476 McNaughton Ave E., Chatham, ON, N7M 5L7 · Sarnia Education Centre (SEC) - 200 Wellingston St., Sarnia, ON, N7T 7L2 · Great Lakes Secondary School (GLSS) - 275 Wellington St., Sarnia, ON, N7T 1H1 (future site: 340 Murphy Rd., Sarnia, ON, N7S 2X1) · Northern Collegiate Institute Vocational School (NCIVS) - 940 Michigan Ave, Sarnia, N7S 2B1 · Chatham Kent Secondary School (CKSS) - 285 McNaughton Ave E., Chatham, ON, N7L 2G7 The LKDSB seeks proposals to connect the eligible sites to the internet for a pilot period of two (2) years in order to trial the SD WAN architecture. Existing MPLS connections will remain in place and services will run in parallel. Proponent Prequalification Contractors performing work on Board property must complete the Contracted Services Program. Contractors who cannot meet the minimum requirements of this program will not be approved for addition to our “Qualified Contractor” list and will not be considered for contract award. If you are not currently prequalified you may contact LKDSB Purchasing Department to obtain an application at least five (5) days prior to the submission deadline for review and determination of prequalification status.
